I saw this and bought it without thinking twice! Please bring Persona and both Persona 2 games to ios (you can keep 3 and 4)

I love the SMT series, and now I am able to play the original! SMT has an excellent atmosphere, soundtrack, story, and demon fusion system. Atlus, thank you so much! Now, I really hope SMT II and SMT If.. are localized!

Shin Megami Tensei has become my favorite RPG series of all time. Every release by ATLUS has been incredible, and I am now a huge fan of almost every game they publish. However I never thought that the the Super Famicom classic would ever recieve an official release in the US, and yet, here we have a fantastic port of the Game Boy Advance version. The controls are fantastic, and I find that playing the game with one hand in portrait mode is the optimal way to play. The gameplay screen is a bit small, but it does not affect the experience in any negative way. The music is great, and the battle theme is fun to listen to. The music was pulled from the Playstation version of the game, and while a couple of tracks are not quite as good as the Super Famicom version, the majority of tracks sound better in my opinion. The translation was also handled extremely well, and is definitely supperior to the fan translation that exsists. Overall, Shin Megami Tensei is easily worth the asking price, and I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys challenging RPGs and First Person dungeon crawlers.

Its play great, no lag, storyline is very good and its a RPGs game. So get this game and hope shin megami tense 2 come out in the west!!!

Ive never thought SMT 1 would ever get an official English release but thanks for proving me wrong! Love the first person dungeon crawling. Maybe theres hope for SMT 2 and SMT if... To be translated. Keep up the good work Atlus!

I love the SMT: Persona and SMT: Devil Survivor games, and enjoyed SMT 4, but otherwise found some of the games in the main series a little too crazy with the mechanics and convoluted systems (SMT Soul Hackers in particular). Im glad I tried out this game. It has just the perfect amount of depth, with the demon capturing and fusing system, and is simple enough that you can stop playing for a few days without being completely lost. Great game, and it never feels like a chore.

Having played the later games in the series, I was pretty excited when Atlus announced that they were rereleasing the game that started it all! Being able to play an official translation of the original game is a dream come true. Prior to the IOS release, this game did not have an official English version. They did such a good job with the English translation as well. Like the other reviewers said, this game is a first person dungeon crawler, but do not let that discourage you. You will get sucked into the story line. This game is so fantastic that it doesnt show its age like other titles from the same era. Tons of thought and planning went into ensuring a smooth experience, despite the difficulty of the game. I highly recommend this game for RPG fans and for fans of classic games. It also has quite a few esoteric elements in it. Highly recommended for fans of the occult!

An excellent classic game thats everything I hoped it to be (cant wait for English versions of II and If). I do have one complaint however that the app seems very power hungry. I find this odd since its essentially a straight port rather than a graphical update and might be a good thing to try and tackle in updates.

Pity you never played it. Pokemon was ripping this off I only hope 2 gets translated

Really fun. Kinda wish I could turn off music in game but oh well. No big deal. Please translate SMT 2 and IF to English. I would buy them in a heart beat.

This is one of the best RPGs that Ive played in ages. Great dungeon crawler JRPG, but with a unique story line. Rather than the classic fantasy setting, this is set in modern times, but with demons to battle and control. Well worth the time and money!

Ive been playing this for years on SNES emu and was so elated at an official English release that I can carry around in my pocket. Five stars, awesome game, awesome gameplay. Probably my favorite game. Pleeeease release Shin Megami Tensei II and ...if on IOS in English. please!!!! <3

Its nice to play a real game on iOS compared to the majority of garbage that is on here.

Great dark story and music, really sets the tone. Very similar dungeon rpg to Persona with lots of content in a small package. The actual game screen should be larger and make the controls more invisible. but good rpg nevertheless

This game was loads of fun and still very playable; even though the game is over two decades old. The game is very playable on a touch screen, and is great for fans of the series.
